Neuroaffirming care

Sarsha works from a neuroaffirming perspective: ADHD and autism are neurotypes, a brain that works differently, not a brain that needs fixing.

Neurodivergent brains come with great strengths, and often great challenges. The work here can involve understanding the challenges and harnessing the strengths: finding strategies that work with the way your brain likes to operate, and building a world that allows you to live authentically and thrive.

You may self-identify, have a formal diagnosis, or you may be uncertain. All are welcome here.

What therapy here actually focuses on

The focus is on helping you move from coping to thriving. That might involve working with:

Stress, anxiety and low mood
that so often travel alongside ADHD, autism and AuDHD
Executive functioning
time management, procrastination, follow-through
Emotion regulation
managing the experience of big emotions
Burnout
and the quiet exhaustion that comes from years of overcompensating or masking
Accessibility supports
at work, at study, and in daily life
Authenticity
dropping external pressures and connecting with your authentic self
Substance use
Parenting
whether you're raising a neurodivergent child, are neurodivergent yourself, or both
Challenges with study
Challenges with relationships

What's the difference between assessment and therapy?

Assessment and therapy are two distinct services. A formal ADHD or autism assessment is a dedicated multi-session process involving structured clinical interviews, developmental and cognitive testing, and detailed history-gathering. It is a more involved, and subsequently costlier, process.

Formal diagnostic assessments aren't offered here. While clinically trained in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and autism, Sarsha's practice focuses on therapy rather than assessment pathways.

What is offered is the therapeutic work, and it can help whether or not you pursue a diagnosis.

Diagnosis or not, understanding and addressing what's getting in the way can be valuable for anyone.

External organisations and supports

Beyond this practice, these independent national bodies and resources are good places to explore.
