Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Sarsha Spring Psychology is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly.

Information Sarsha collects

Sarsha may collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide psychological services and manage her practice. This may include your name, contact details, referral information, health information and other information relevant to your care.

If you become a client, further information may be collected as part of assessment, treatment, record keeping, billing and communication with other professionals where appropriate.

Initial inquiries

When making an initial inquiry, please only provide the information needed for Sarsha to understand the general nature of your enquiry and how to contact you.

Please avoid including detailed or highly sensitive health information in your initial email. More detailed personal and health information can be discussed through appropriate channels once contact has been established.

Email and internet privacy

The contact link on this website opens an email using your own email provider. Information you enter is not submitted to or stored by this website before you choose to send the email.

Ordinary email is not generally end-to-end encrypted and, like most communication over the internet, cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. For this reason, you are encouraged to keep initial enquiries brief and avoid including highly sensitive information.

How your information is used

Your personal information may be used to:

Confidentiality and disclosure

Information shared during psychological services is generally confidential.

Information will ordinarily only be disclosed with your consent or where disclosure is permitted or required by law.

There are only three limited circumstances where information may be disclosed without your consent. These three circumstances will be discussed with you directly in our first session as part of your care, so you are fully informed of the limits of confidentiality.

Storage and security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal and health information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Clinical records are stored using systems appropriate for health information and are retained in accordance with relevant professional and legal requirements.

Use of AI note-taking tools

With your informed consent, and only if you choose, Sarsha may use an AI-assisted note-taking tool (Heidi Health) during sessions. It is optional. You can decline, or change your mind at any time, and this will not affect your care.

This tool is used because it supports better record keeping. Sarsha can stay present with you in the session instead of writing notes, and more of your story is captured, so important details don't get lost.

The tool is used only to draft clinical notes. Sarsha reviews and edits every note before it becomes part of your record. How the tool works, and how its information is stored, is explained before you are asked to consent.

Overseas processing

This website is hosted using infrastructure that may be located outside Australia. Other technology used in running the practice, such as email, may also process or store information on infrastructure located outside Australia.

Access and correction

You may request access to personal information held about you or ask for information to be corrected if you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Some exceptions to access may apply under Australian privacy law.

To make a request, contact: sarsha@fremantleclinicalpsychology.com.au

Privacy concerns or complaints

If you have a question or concern about how your personal information has been handled, please contact Sarsha in the first instance so that the matter can be considered and addressed.

You may also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the practice, technology used or applicable privacy requirements.
